2 Corinthians 2:15-16 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?
The sweet Holy Spirit is the fragrance of the Lord Jesus Christ that spreads sweet aroma to all who are around us each day. Believers are called to embrace the character and love of Christ, and then we become a "sweet aroma" to God. To do this we live a life reflecting Christ righteousness and sacrificial love. It is just the natural thing for a Christian to do.
Sweet Holy Spirit, fill my soul with the fragrance of Christ' love. Let my life be a fragrance to You.
QUOTE: The life of every Christian should be like the fragrant breeze which, in tropical waters, tells the mariner, while still far out at sea, that the land from which it comes is a land of pleasant forests and gardens, where "the spices flow forth." It should testify, truthfully and clearly, of the sweetness and grace of heaven.
